The schedule narrative template provided below is an example of how the schedule narrative can be formatted and the type of information that may be requested. Note that different companies, consultants, and facilities project managers may format or require the format of the narrative differently or require that contractors provide specific line items of information. It is important from a legal perspective that the narrative clearly states whether the project is ahead, behind or on schedule so that there is no misunderstanding or room for the client or contractor to say that the document misrepresented the status of the project by not clearly documenting its status.
