Jul 1 Purchased $63,420 of raw materials on account. Incurred $61,270 on factory labor. (Credit Factory Wages Payable) 2 3 Incurred $72,000 of manufacturing overhead; $41,850 was paid and the remainder was unpaid. 4 Requisitioned materials for Cutting $16,610 and Sewing $9,460. Payroll registers shows factory labor for Cutting to be $33.580 and for Sewing to be $27,690. 6. 5 Applied overhead at the rate of $20 per machine hour. Machine hours were Cutting 1,730 and Sewing 1,770. Transferred goods costing $67,770 from the Cutting 7 to the Sewing Department. 8. Transferred goods costing $135,950 from Sewing to Finished Goods. Sold goods costing $151,670 for $202,390 on 9. account. Transfer any over- or under-applied overhead to the appropriate account. 10 Required: Journalize the transactions and post to manufacturing T-accounts.
