SECTION 2: Case study questions Question 1 Joe owned a pet shop. He placed an advertisement in the local newspaper that read: "Cats for sale. JUST 100 each. They can run as fast as a sports car!! Call Joe on 0151 234 5678" Dan saw the advert and went to see the cats in Joe's shop. Dan told Joe it was important the cat did not lose any fur at all, as his wife was allergic to cat fur. Joe confirmed that the cats did not lose any fur. Because of what Joe said and what was written in the advert, Dan chose a cat and offered Joe 200 which he accepted. Explain whether a contract exists between Joe and Dan in respect of the cat (7 marks)
