Section A Allowable bending stress at section A = 1 8 0 MPa. P = 1 4 . 2 k N W 2 = 1

Section A
Allowable bending stress at section A=180MPa.
P=14.2kN
W2=150mm
W1=200mm
E=210GPa and v=0.3
For the beam problem given in previous slide;
Create the model in ANSYS APDL and enter required loading and boundary conditions.
Solve the problem in ANSYS APDL.
Show deformed shape and Von Mises stresses for the entire beam. In addition, demonstrate V. Mises stresses on section A, and compare your max. stress for this section with allowable bending stress given in the problem. Make comments for this comparison. Performing a mesh convergency analysis is a plus for this assignment.
Send your model, loading, boundary conditions and results (contours and deformed shape) in a single pdf file via email (Do not send me your db file).
