The gross salary is the summation of the basic salary, travel allowance, house rent allowance, demens allowance and incentive if any. If the basic salary is greater than equal to Rs. 15,000 per month, then the dearness is 10%, travel allowance is 5%, house rent allowance is 7% of the basic salary and performance incentives is 45 days' salary. If the basic salary is in between Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000, then the dearness is 7%, travel allowance is 3%, house rent allowance is 4% of the basic salary and performance incentives is 30 days' salary. If the basic salary is less than Rs. 10,000, then the travel allowance is 2% and the performance incentives is 20 days of the salary.
