Seeing as baseball season is my favorite time of year, this question is about the probability of an at-bat for a baseball batter. For sake of the question, I will only use six possible outcomes. (Go Braves!)
In one at-bat there are 6 possible outcomes, these are a Walk, Strike-Out, Single, Double, Triple, and Home-Run.
1. With no other factors considered, what is the probability that the current batter will hit a home run during their at-bat?
2. The current pitcher has faced 3 batters and has walked all 3 of them. Based on intuition, what is the likelihood that the next batter will also walk? Without considering intuition, what is the probability that the next batter will strike out?
