Select a business which you find interesting, or is convenient to observe. Visit the business and spend some time observing the day-to-day operation of the organisation. Try to identify the manager among the staff, and observe how the staff work together to complete the necessary activities of the business. Have a special focus on identifyingexamples of how the business/manager are demonstrating skills and knowledge relevant to the Management theories such as POLC, Goal setting, Action Planning, Teamwork and Decision Making.

a. Briefly identify and explain the business you have visited. Describe the significant parts of your visit to the business from your personal perspective. Why were these significant to you?

b. Identify relevant Management theories you have observed during your time visiting the business, and illustrate how this business has applied Management theories with specific examples.

c. Consider how you would fit in with this business team. Evaluate how your strengths and weaknesses would contribute to the success/hinder the team's goals. Include in your response a specific plan to improve your skills, to make the business more efficient and effective.
