Select a product category and list all of the ways that a company might differentiate their product. For instance, shampoo might be differentiated by fine hair, curly hair, dandruff, extra body, luxury, low cost, organic, not tested on animals etc. Make a list of all the ways the category you have selected could be differentiated. You may find a trip to the grocery store to be helpful; Coffee, cereal, and other grocery products, or classifications such as toiletries.
