Select at least two texts that you have been assigned to read in the first three weeks of this class and determine what you see to be a common meaning or focus of these works. Then, analyze how the writers develop this meaning within the texts: look at what specific structures, word choices, metaphors, or examples they use to invite the reader to understand and to share the experience of this understanding in reading these two works. (In developing this paper you may include passing reference to additional works, but you need to give focused examples from at least two texts). You may also incorporate any elements from your first two short papers or course discussion board posts that you would like to expand upon as you develop your thesis for this paper.
