This resident has been placed in the SNF's secured dementia unit as they require skilled care and needs a locked unit for their own safety. The staff has employed all their skills and procedures to assist the resident with a positive living experience, but the resident continues to be physically and verbally abusive. Some of these events have occurred in the common areas such as the dining room and have negatively impacted the other dementia residents.
