Self and Social Understanding

1. Each of us have multiple identities (e.g., occupational, athletic, relational, gender, religious, ethnic, academic, etc.) that appear in different social contexts. Describe at least two of your identities and the contexts in which they emerge. Compare similarities and differences between these identities.
2. Using the lecture materials, define each of the following mental states - desires, false beliefs, and intentions - and explain the ages when children acquire an understanding of each.
