Self efficiency is the belief individuals have in themselves to overcome or produce a certain result. Similar to locus of control which is defined as how much control an individuals thinks they have over a situation. Someone with an internal locus of control believe that situations are greatly affected by their own abilities or mistakes. People with high self efficiency normally have higher internal locus of control. For example, someone can think they have the power to be able to lose weight but they don't obtain certain skills in order to complete this goal. This would mean that someone had high internal locus of control but they had low self efficiency. People with Depending on the person, people with high self efficacy with most likely have internal locus of control and have a better chance of success for the task at hand while roles can be vice-versa
