Self$-$employment wages may be ignored, for SECA purposes, if:

a$.$ net earnings are less than $$400.$

b$.$ net earnings are less than $$4,000.$

c$.$ the self$-$employed individual also receives a W$-2$ from an employer.

d$.$ there has not been a history of profitability from the business in $3$ of the last $5$ years.
