Self-efficacy is based on a personal feeling of satisfaction for a job well done, or it could mean one's belief and ability to complete tasks or reach goals, according to Han (2018). Self-efficacy impacts personality because of a person's beliefs. My beliefs are sometimes; I know I can do it. Other times there is no way I can achieve the goal in front of me.

While looking over my Myers-Briggs Type Indicator test results, I realized my self-efficacy aligned with my test results. My test showed I am the ISFP, which translates to the here-and-now person. ISFP people can have a high self-efficacy on the one hand and low on the other. When I applied to work at the police department, I knew I could do the job in my head. However, when I was in training, the comments said "low self-confidence." I let fear dictate my training. Fortunately, I still passed and became a dispatcher.

My faith in Jesus is what took away the fear and continued in my dispatch training. High self-efficacy in my faith helped me do the job I was meant to do these last 16 years. I now believe that same high self-efficacy is getting me through school. I am 58 years old. A person would think school is a wrong move. I, however, believe God still has a plan for me. After all, did it not say in Jeremiah 29:11 (Life Application Study Bible) "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Faith and high self-efficacy work well together.
