Selina stopped off to fill up the family car at the Fuel Service and took the opportunity to take her 4-year-old daughter, Jasmine, to use the toilet facilities. Lighting in the toilets was fluorescent tubing, but the tubes were bare, and the light fittings were missing any sort of protective diffuser. Whilst Selina and her daughter were in the toilets, one of the fluorescent tubes shattered and covered the two of them with shards of broken glass. Both of them suffered cuts to their faces and arms from the broken glass.
