Ghostbusters was a classic that I loved as a kid even though it was still years above my time yet the new one never caught my attention. I think the most obvious thing for me to look at was, was this reboot necessary, or was this a convergence just trying to balance the scale between male and female of our cinematic history. As the book states, the new ghostbusters from 2006 was banned from china who have tight restrictions which is similar to America's from time period which made lives for women actresses difficult. So this movie was believed to be mass personal communication.

Sony's attempt to rename the movie "Super Power Dare Die Team" for the Chinese market did not move the censors to change their position.3 Chinese censors also reject films that portray time travel. Back to the Future (1985) was banned because Chinese censors said it was a "disrespectful portrayal of history." Since 2011, all films and television shows with time-travel stories have been banned, eliminating screenings of such movies.
