On the 1st July 2019 Paris acquired 80% of the ordinary share capital of Berlin by way of an immediate share exchange of two shares in Paris for five shares acquired in Berlin.The fair value of Paris and Berlin's shares on 1st July 2019 were 4.00 and 2.20 respectively. The directors of Paris also agreed to pay 75p per share acquired deferred until 31st December 2020 the relevant 6 monthly cost of finance was 4%.The investment in Berlin has not yet been recorded in Paris's books.
