image text in transcribed Short answers (Each 10 pts) Be sure to show work and provide unit for all problems. Use the formula in the Appendix to solve problems. 1. John is reviewing Guardians of the Galaxy Part 2 in preparation for watching the third series that just came out. If he is watching the movie from a TV with height of 50 -inch at distance of 40 inches straight ahead, what would be the horizontal visual angle for John? 2. In a perfectly reflective surface, would luminance be equal to illuminance? Explain your answer. 3. During the lightning survey, a luminance meter measured the light leaving a surface as 100 cd/m2 while an illuminance meter measured the light falling on a surface as 80 lux. What is the reflectance of the surface? 4. A hypothetical factory is expanding its operation. As part of this expansion, an inspection station will be moved to a new area of the plant. After some investigation, the inspectors recommend an illuminance level of 1000 lux. If the ceiling of the plant is 6 meters above the task surface, determine the luminous intensity of a light source located at the ceiling that would be required to supply the recommended level of illumination. 5. For the luminous intensity computed for Problem 4 above, what is the luminous flux assuming the light source provides uniform lighting across all angles? *12.57 is the conversion factor
