Answer the following problems: Note: The numerical (final) answers should be rounded off to three decimal places. 1. Test the hypothesis that the average content of containers of a particular brand of cooking oil is less than 10 liters if the contents of a random sample of 10 containers are 10.2, 9.7, 10.1, 10.3, 10.1, 9.8, 9.9, 10.4, 10.3 and 9.8 liters. Use a 0.01 level of significance and assume that the distribution of contents is normal. (25 points) 2. A random sample of 15 school children was taken and the weights (in kg) are 40, 35, 38, 41, 45, 44, 47, 50, 32, 33, 42, 46, 39, 31 and 48. Assume the weights are approximately normal, establish a 95% confidence interval for the population mean weight of the school children. (15 points)
