(6 points) The solubility product for Fe(OH)2 is 51017 at 298K. Sodium hydroxide is to be added to a solution containing 0.1M iron (II) ions. (a) What concentration of sodium hydroxide is needed to precipitate iron (II) hydroxide? (b) At what pH does precipitation occur? 2. (6 points) Uranium hexafluoride is synthesized from uranium dioxide by a two-step process. First, solid uranium dioxide is reacted with anhydrous hydrogen fluoride gas at 450C to produce uranium tetrafluoride. Second, the hydrogen tetrafluoride is reacted with fluorine gas to produce uranium tetrafluoride. (a) Write the overall reaction for the synthesis of uranium hexafluoride from uranium oxide. (b) Compute the enthalpy change at 298K for the reaction you wrote in part (a)
