sic Troubleshooting with Voltage Measurements /60 und: n open device or open points in a circuit will always have an unknown voltage and zero current owing. The voltage present between the open terminals is determined by inspecting the rest of the rcuit. On the other hand, a shorted device will always have zero voltage and a current that is termined by the configuration of the rest of the circuit. In this lab we will build a basic circuit and sert 2 component failures. A short with a wire fray that lands across a resistor, and a resistor that ils open. nt: Digital multimeter and leads 1) 2.2 kQ, 4.7 kQ, 1.5 kQ, 1.0 kQ, 12VDC power supply or 9V battery Protoboard e: emember it is good practice to remove power when making circuit changes, double check the esired connections before applying power. We can use the appropriate push button in our case to ake this as easy as possible. Risk of something happening to the components in this lab is very low ut do not have your face directly over the circuit when repowering or making changes. Measure each resistor value and capture to Table 1. Then Assemble the following circuit using your 12V supply or 9V battery. VI Calculate the expected voltage between point A with respect to ground and record in Table 2, under 'Circuit OK'. All calculations to be shown in results at end
