Silvia is a 67 year old woman with a clinical history consistent with dementia. The client was referred to a specialty clinic at the age of 60 with a 3 year history of memory loss, repetitiveness, and function loss. Examples of Silvia's functional losses were being slower in processing and carrying out instructions, forgetting how to turn off the stove, and misplacing things. She stopped driving her vehicle about 4 months before her memory clinic consultation. She has had no surgical history, no history of smoking, alcohol, or other drug misuse. Her past medical history was relevant to high cholesterol in the bloodstream. There was also no family history of dementia. Silvia currently resides in a nursing home and is on the lower end of her cognitive functions
