- The Scenario - Young Carers has been provided below, for you to read and use for this task.
- Develop a work plan for the community service program identified in the scenario using all the information and templates provided.
Scenario - Young carers Your organisation has received a philanthropic funding for a program to support young carers (aged 13 - 18) of people with disabilities, rare disorders or high medical needs. Young carers undergo physical, emotional and mental stress while they help care for their loved ones who are unwell. Based on a recent survey from the young carers you work with, they would appreciate some time to pursue their social needs such as making new friends, enjoying recreational activities in a relaxing and fun environment. They also need some advice on how to cope with their schoolwork. A local non-profit organisation Happy Campers operates camping facilities including providing accommodation, food and activities as part of their respite services, is willing to work with your organisation.
