Since interstate and most international borders are opened from COVID-19, many airlines have started operating again. A local airline company, HAPPYFLY is one of the airlines which will re-start its full fledge service again and expands its service to include collaboration with external service providers such as hotel and on the ground transportation services. HAPPYFLY decides to improve their services by introducing a mobile application for its patron instead of just having the existing web application. The mobile application will enable their patrons operate similar functions to their website such as browse and book for flights, mobile check-ins, add-on in flight services, lost baggage claim system, book for hotels, on the ground transportation service, etc. They hope by introducing the mobile application, it can boost their revenue by at least 10% by end of Year 2022. You and your team are tasked to be involved in this project for developing mobile application for HAPPYFLY. This project includes the combination of subscribing to cloud-based services, data integration with the existing database as well as mobile application development. Since you do not have the internal expertise to perform data integration, you have decided to outsource this service to external vendor. You may assume some other elements/features/functions relevant to the project or the mobile application. The project is at IMPLEMENTATION STAGE of Month 3 out of 6 months project duration. The overall project budget was RM450,000 and at the moment the project is ahead of schedule and over budget.

Identify minimum THREE (3) deliverables and THREE (3) in scope items for this project. Briefly describe each deliverable and scope. C. Construct a Work Breakdown Structure incorporating 1(a) and 1(b); expand where necessary. Total number of WBS items should be minimum 10 and maximum 20 items/ activities. Present your data using the following template: Activity ID WBS Description d. Identify THREE (3) 'out of scope' elements for this project. N 2 Network diagram a. Based on 1(c), construct a data set with predecessor activity incorporating the following element: Activity ID Predecessor Activity Duration (Weeks) (following 10) (following 1c) b. Based on the data set of 2(a), draw a network diagram using Precedence Diagramming Method (PDM). The network diagram should have the following elements: i. Early start ii. Early finish iii. Late start iv. Late finish v. Slack c. Identify the critical path and its duration. 3 Earned Value Use earned value management techniques to trace the progress of the Management (EVM) project. a. Compute the following using EVM techniques (working calculations need to be shown where applicable) : i. Planned value (PV)- with explanation of the answer ii. Actual Cost (AC) - with explanation of the answer iii. Earned value (EV) - provide your assumption of RP - with explanation of the answer iv. You may assume relevant information to be associated to the project. a. Ishikawa diagram i. Using Ishikawa diagram template/structure, construct ONE (1) Ishikawa diagram focusing on ONE problem. ii. You may assume the problem and other elements in Ishikawa diagram befitting the project scenario. iii. Each of the root causes in the Ishikawa diagram need to be accompanied by minimum TWO (2) sub-root causes. b. Pareto chart i. Using the data in Ishikawa diagram (4a), construct ONE (1) pareto chart for this project. ii. Design a data set to represent (4b(i)), you may assume logical data count befitting the project scenario. iii. Present the data set in a table comprising of Problem name, count, cumulative count, working calculation and cumulative percentage. iv. Draw the pareto chart based on the data set in b(iii). v. Based on pareto analysis, identify which problem(s) need to be investigated. Justify the reason. C. Conflict resolution strategy i. During the implementation phase, you find that the team dynamics are not up to the par that you have expected. Comprehensively describe the conflict that your team is having and suggest ONE (1) solution using conflict resolution technique. No Topic Project scope 1 Tasks a.
