Small Business Administration

• There are about 28 million small businesses in the United States.
• These organizations create 75 percent of the new jobs and employ 50 percent of the country's private workforce.
• Small businesses contribute 46 percent of all sales in the United States, and are responsible for 51 percent of the gross domestic product (G D P).

All of us have had personal experiences with small business - as an owner, relative of an owner, employee, friend, or in other relationships. Describe a personal experience you have had with a small business to include:

• challenges they might have in comparison to larger organizations in the same industry.
