Small group analysis: You are invited to observe and critically analyze a small group of your choosing to apply and understand how the principles, ideas, and theories weve been learning about function. You may select a wide variety of small group types from an online chat group, to a work meeting, a city council meeting, and more. The meeting cannot be scripted and should not be a course or religious service. Due to COVID-19 complications, you are welcome (but not required) to select virtual meetings for this opportunity. Your analysis should be approximately two pages, double-spaced.
Following your observation, please report on the following (please label according to the following sections)
1) Logistics: Group name, purpose, and dates/times of observation(s)
2) Positive interactions: A description of the positive group interactions and dynamics you observed
3) Challenges: A description of the challenges in communication and small group dynamics you observed
4) Recommendations: As a small group communication expert in training, at least three-four recommendations you would make to improve the group dynamic. Please support each recommendation with cited course material and/or academic sources.
