SNA, a swiss NPO, sells ski equipment to EU member states. In Germany, such imported ski equipment is subject to quality checks for safety. Also, 50 cents per equipment is levied as import charge. In Austria, due to harm caused in accidents to children who skied, selling ski equipment to minors is banned.
