So I am in my 5th year of undergrad (I graduate this summer) as of the beginning of this tax season but I have only claimed the American Opportunity tax credit 3 times in the 5 years I've been in school. On the IRS website it says to meet the criteria
A-you can only claim the tax credit up to 4 times
B- you cannot claim it if you have completed more than 4 years of postsecondary school.
I technically dont have a bachelors degree and in the 5 years I have taken breaks. Can I still claim it one last time which would be my 4th time?
