So, I am making a 2D platformer, I have made a playerClass, the parent class is the Paper character, I have sprites which have been made into flip books, I have implemented the animation for the character being idle, animation for the character running, animation for the character jumping and falling, I now want to implement an attack animation, and make the player damage an enemy while the attack animation is playing, so I have attack mapped to input l on the keyboard, I want to press it and initiate attack, but Im kinda new to Unreal so I dont know how, also, the paper character is using sprites and flip books, so I dont think Play Anim Montage is a solution. So I made a function called 'Attack', (there is no play animation node in this function, and play animation does not work with sprites and flipbooks)and a Boolean variable called 'bIsAttacking' which is a good start but now I need to play the animation and make my paper character damaging ,what is the next step?
