However; many people either can't eat them, won't eat them, or just too worried or scared to eat them, all thanks to the amount sugar that is within. Well surprisingly, there is an alternative to sugar so people that have more of a restriction on their diet can enjoy them like everyone else. As of right now, there are many sweeteners in the stores to buy, Splenda (Sucralose), Equal (Aspartame), and Sweet N Low (saccharin) just to name a few. Twenty five percent of children 17 or younger have claimed to use an artificial sweetener at least once per day. Forty one percent of adults have claimed to also use a sweetener at least once per day. (foodinsight.org, 2017) Many diabetics use artificial sugar due to them not being able to consume sugar. The sweeteners are also very low in caloric count unlike sugar.
