So practice this skill using SP Crater. In Google Earth go to SP Crater. Then, rotate the view so that it looks like the airplane view in lecture. The rotation tool in Google Earth changes appearance, so play around. But it often looks like an eyeball. The rotated view will look something like this and I've set the cursor on the rim of SP Crater so you can see the elevation is 2125 m. Then, you move the cursor to the surrounding landscape next to SP Crater, and you'll determine that its height is around 250 m. This is pretty typical for cinder cones
