So this time we're gonna be looking at the median salaries between men and women. For this, certain company, We have eight men sampled and 10 women samples Significance level is .05. And our alternative hypothesis is that the median salary for men is higher than for women. So we go to our table six and like the book. Look at sample size eight and 10 significance level 100.5 and we find that are critical value is 95 ordering the numbers in ascending order from the two groups. I've gone ahead and just pulled them together. Because why not? We'll just figure out which ones in which by the way, it makes the ranking a whole lot easier. Yeah. So we'll go ahead and count out the one. All right. So I didn't think this through all the way. But All right. I got to have the table out in front of me. Okay, So 924 5 75 for 15. I'm gonna go ahead and rank these outs with a pause. So we're gonna go ahead and just add up the ones that are from men. So just erase those values and we're gonna add up whatever green values are left. So 358, 74. Support from women And 3 75. Also from women. 3 86. That's from the man. 405 I don't even know. four or 5. That's for men. 412. That's women. 415. That's from men. 510 as from women. 5 75 Men. Mhm. 5 94 women. 816. Oh, that's from men. 924. That's for men. 181 181 that's from women. 1445, that's from women. 1888 is from Man 2078. That's from women. 21 93. That is from women, 26, that's from men. So we got our green values here. We're just going to add them up. Four plus five plus seven plus nine plus 11 plus 12 plus 15 plus 18. We get 81 which is less than our critical value. Therefore we failed to reject the null hypothesis. The median salaries of men and women at the 5% significance level are the same.
