Step 1 - Choose a hospitality, tourism, food & beverage or events company.You may use the same company that you selected for the Mission Statement Critique assignment, PESO Scavenger Hunt or you can select another company providing it is a hospitality company. Please make sure that you can complete the assignment with the company that you have chosen. (Ensure you can find samples with the company you have chosen)

Step 2 -You are required to research and analyze a hospitality company or brand's use of social media. When completing the audit determine if the company's use of social media is intended to:

1. Raise awareness

2. Influence desire

3. Encourage trial

4. Facilitate purchase

5. Create loyalty

Step 3 -You must analyze at least three the following social media platforms/tools:

Facebook

Twitter

Instagram

LinkedIn

YouTube

Step 4 - The approach of the assignment should be as though you are preparing this report before you meet with the hospitality company that you have selected. The report will showcase your knowledge and research of their social media marketing before they select you as a consult to assist them with their future social media plans.

The goal is to assess where the client is in terms of their social media use while providing a sense of what you would/could do for them if they were to hire you Include the following sections:

Introduction: Introduce the company and what it is that they does and why social media is important to their business; HINT: Look at the industry/sector they operate within as well as norms/standards for social media use in that industry/sector.

Overall summary of social media use: Briefly summarize the company's history with social media and current use of social media along with the overall strategic focus from one or several of the above purposes; can you identify who manages social media for the business (marketing department, outside social media advertising firm etc.)? Are they using the different tools like Twitter, Instagram Pinterest etc. in ways that are unique or duplicative (of other companies or competitors or even of other platformsin other words are they saying the same uninspired things repeatedly across platforms or are they a unique voce that adapts to the Platform/medium?

Use of at least three of the listed platforms/tools: List how each tool is used; provide examples; infer the primary purpose from those listed above.

Assessment and recommendations: Assess overall social media use. Make at least three recommendations based upon your assessment and research.

References: Three to five references
