Social media is prevalent in almost every aspect of our lives. FaceBook (FB: https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/FB?p=FB&.tsrc=fin-srch) and Twitter (TWRT: https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/TWTR?p=TWTR&.tsrc=fin-srch) seem to hold the attention of most users of social media today. Standard news outlets such as CNN, FOX, MSNBC, etc. provide users with up-to-minute information. Influencers provide followers with their expertise on almost every variety of topic imaginable; the list goes on and on... Businesses are made and broken by social media postings.

We see social media taking a prominent place in our business and politics today. This is nothing new. Take a look at some of our countrys founding fathers social media from 1800: Swint, K. (2012, September 9). Adams vs. Jefferson: The birth of negative campaigning in the U.S. Mentalfloss.com.
