Soft skills are vital to your everyday life, most people don't notice how they're used. Parents have to use soft skills in regards to negotiating with children, and being patient. Employers have to be able to utilize their soft skills in order to run a successful company. Imagine working in an environment and your supervisor does not effectively communicate or they don't have healthy problem solving skills. Ultimately, you'd have to figure everything out yourself and that would be draining. Soft skills, are what make you a better employee and coworker. Conflict resolution is used at my job quite a bit. I work in the food industry as a manager. Most of us know that, that comes with working over teenagers. Although most of them are out of high school, their mindsets are not out of it yet. We have issues amongst staff including: he said/she said, difficult customers, and, reactiveness. For example, let's say coworker 1 and coworker 2 have been arguing and they're scheduled for the same shift. I will pull both to the side and get a better understanding of what the underlying issue is. Once I do that, I will bring them both together to discuss
