SohnCo is a major international conglomerate headquartered in Las Cruces, NM. It has a number of divisions that design, manufacture and distribute aerospace parts, baby toys, agricultural food products and beauty products. It has plants located across the USA, Europe, Asia. Recently, a corporate-wide study of quality issues found a disturbing array of problems resulting from SohnCos rapid expansion. In its quest to dominate various markets, SohnCo acquired a number of existing companies whose plants followed their own methods of dealing with the issues. Under the direction new COO Manuel I. Rodriguez, a decision was been made to create a corporate wide process improvement program. You are in charge of developing a corporate process improvement program based on developing a management system for experiment design across SohnCo.
