solve this problem in detail
Q.2 A Biomass Gasifier is designed for conversion of 100kgh of dry biomass. It is working with Air
as a gasifying medium and generates 250m3 of Producer Gas (PG) per hour. The gas analysis of
the PG gives following gas composition:
H2-20%
CO-20%
CO2-12%
CH4-2%
N2- Rest (46%)
i. How many kgs of PG will be produced per hour?
ii. How many grams of H2 will be produced per kg of biomass?
iii. What is the H2 conversion efficiency?
iv. What is the Energy conversion efficiency of the gasifier?
Given data:
H2 in biomass 6%(by mass).
Calorific value for:
H2=10.8MJm3
CO=12.6MJm3
CH4=35.8MJm3
Biomass =17MJkg
