Some people will criticize this move whenever it is suggested that the government should consider regulating the prices of any commodity. This group would be in favor of lowering costs through competition. This option may eventually lower prices, but competition will take some time to achieve the desired result.

Others are fine with price controls and are not concerned that it might result in socialism creeping into the free market economy. They are much more concerned with prices being lowered quickly so that they and their loved ones can obtain the drugs at a less expensive price.
