Some roles I usually take on in teams are information synthesizer and sometimes a conflict solver. Unfortunately, I have had some groups that really did not want to work with each other and that caused many problems throughout the entire project. Some roles I think I would like to try improving in the future or maybe in this group could be the information exchanger. Since it would require good communication skills, working in this role could improve how I can learn to interact with the people in my team and really understand how they feel or think about the work at hand. This could also prevent any conflicts from happening in the team if everyone is on the same page. ^How do I respond to this? I believe in group work and typically take on the role of initiator and information exchanger. I fall more into these roles as I am the first to reach out when working with a team and trying to keep active communication throughout. I fall more into the information exchanger category as I like to have everything covered. I like knowing what everyone is working on and how the project progresses. It helps the team better understand each other as people are more actively communicating their actions and feelings towards their role. I first voice how I feel to open that channel and make those around me more comfortable expressing their feelings. I want to try and take on more of the conflict solver role, as when there is conflict within groups, I tend to hide in the shadows. I wouldn't say I like getting involved. I also pick a side that isn't effective in group work, and both sides should be equally heard and understood. So, I will continue to work on not backing away, trying to help diffuse rising conflicts, and ensuring conflicting members are listened to and the problem is resolved ^How do I respond to this? *student approach. just need help with replying.
