In the lesson videos, the following factors that can affect demand for a hospitality or tourism service/product were discussed:

• Consumer tastes
• Advertising
• Opportunity to consume (ie. Vacation time, travel for business, etc.)
• Population and demographics
• World events
• Politics
• Climate
• Labour availability
• Economic cycles
• Exchange rates
• Income
• Price of other goods
• Choose only ONE of these factors and research to find an article (newspaper, journal, etc.) that demonstrates an example of the impact that this factor has had on demand for tourism/hospitality for a particular country/region.

Write a summary of the article and provide any necessary analysis of your own to ensure that you adequately describe the impact the factor has had on demand for hospitality and tourism.

• A brief paragraph summarizing your article.
