Spectroscopy In part 1 of four for this lab, you will be using gas lamps and diffraction grating to draw the spectrographs (the frequencies of light) that 3 different gases give off. Steps 1. Make sure you have 3 gas tubes neon, helium, and krypton and the lamp. 2. Place the neon tube in the lamp and turn it on (make sure the lights are off). 3. Observe the spectra of the neon tube using the diffraction grating. 4. Draw the diffraction lines using the provided colored pencils. Make sure to match the distance from the lines, the shade of the lines, and the thickness of the lines as closely as possible to what you observe in the grating. 5. Turn off the lamp and replace the neon tube with one of the other two tubes. Careful: depending on the length of time the neon was lit, you may need to let it cool first. 6. Repeat steps 1-4 for the other tubes Questions 1) How did the patterns differ for each of the gas tubes? Were there any frequencies that were common between them all? 2) Would your results have changed if you could have a room
