On August 21, 2023, one of Ink Spill's employees, Sasha, suffered a life-threatening injury while operating one of the printing machines. Sasha hired a lawyer and sued /nk Spill on October 20, 2023, for negligence. Following multiple court hearings, the court ruled in favour of Sasha on January 22, 2024, and ordered Ink Spill to pay Sasha $150,000 in damages which has not yet been paid. 


Required: a) Should the $150,000 be recorded as a liability in the Ink Spill's Balance Sheet at the end of January 2024? Explain, using the definition and recognition criteria of a liability.
