Sports leagues hold drafts every year as a means to inject new talent into the league. Usually the teams pick in reverse order of record meaning the worst teams pick first and the best teams pick last. However there are some who feel that the whole notion of a draft is anti capitalist/anti free market because new talent isn't getting to choose where they want to work and the draft artificially limits how much a player can make because he/she can only negotiate with the team that drafts them. Leagues say draft allow the worst teams the best shot at the best talent thus promote competitive balance. ultimately as an objective sports professional, not a fan, whether drafts are good, bad, necessary or not. ? https://www.vox.com/platform/amp/2014/5/21/5736644/sports-drafts-are-exploitative-and-would-be-illegal-in-any-normal
