St. Joseph’s Mercy Health System emergency department is facing increased patient volumes.

This project is initiated to improve the Emergency Department wait times of the patient.

Since the emergency room waiting time due to delays are more. The delay is caused by lost hospital revenue, creating a negative hospital reputation leading to poor emergency room preparedness.

The goal of this project is to decrease the door to door time and to focus on customer satisfaction.

Wait times at emergency departments across the country are soaring, as various hospitals report wait times far above the national average. for example, are up to 113 minutes, four times longer than the national average, just under the national average.
