Standard Costing Discussion

You have recently been hired by a manufacturing company. The manager explains that the company rarely needs to investigate the total materials and labor variances because they are minimal. She says that the company does not look at the MPV, MUV, LRV or LEV because it does not have total variances large enough to worry about it. Do you agree with her statement? Using examples in the book or your own experience, explain your reasoning.
