Star Tech LLC Oman is established in the year 2010. This is one of the foremost IT enabled services (ITES) providers with specialization in business process outsourcing & IT solutions and services in Oman. Since inception, it has grown steadily to become a major IT Service provider in Sultanate of Oman. They serve clients ranging from small to medium businesses in education, law, logistics, retail, real estate, construction, and hospitality sectors. They provide various IT services that include web design, software development, security systems, and smart home solutions. The company employees 250 employees consisting of Omanis and expatriates in three branches located in Muscat. Assume that you are serving as a member of HR Team of Star Tech LLC for the past 5 years.

In addition to the above, the recent COVID-19 pandemic has hit Oman’s economy and the private sector hard, forcing companies to reduce the number of workers and cut employees’ salaries. As a result, there is a large outflow of expatriate workers from Oman. During the post-pandemic period, Oman’s Ministry of Labour has asked private sector companies to speed up the process of replacing expatriate workers with Omani nationals. All these developments have a major impact on the HR practices of your Star Tech LLC. An employee satisfaction survey has been conducted in this situation to seek the team’s opinions openly and genuinely for moving forwards as a business in a post Covid-19 world. The survey reveals that there are three major HR challenges in the post pandemic workplace such as, ensuring employee health and safety, bridging skill gaps, boosting employee morale etc.
