Starting in 2007, Jean worked for a recreational supply company in North Dakota. In 2013 Jean became a member of a religious group that holds it worship services all day on Saturdays. She told her supervisor that, because of her religious beliefs she would be unable to work on Saturdays. The supervisor arranged the schedule so Jean could work weekdays and Sundays. This continued for four months, at which time the store manager became aware of it. When the store manager told Jean she would be terminated if she would not work Saturdays, Jean said she could not, and the store manager fired her. Jean sought unemployment compensation, which was denied because Jean had chosen not to work Saturdays. Jean sued to obtain the unemployment benefits. Will she prevail?
