Earthworm contains protein which can perform the anticoagulant activity but the protein isolated from fresh samples of earthworm do not show anticoagulant activity in addition drying earthworm using heat is not feasible.

Significance:

Protein isolated from dried samples of earthworms show anticoagulant activity and can be used to treat blood clots. The study tells about the methods of drying earthworms as they are heat sensitive.

Objectives:

1)To find out the method to use protein isolated from earthworm for anticoagulant activity.

2)Compare various methods of drying earthworm samples and find out which method is most apt.
