STATEMENT:
As much as I believe that the Canadian Constitution should guarantee the right to clean water and air, I do not see it happening. The Constitution cannot guarantee the right to clean air and water. Also by doing this it will cause the economy to suffer which seems to be the priority for the government. They cannot guarantee because there will always be pollution in the air. Cars will still be around and they are one of the main causes to pollution same with factories that release harmful gases into the air. They cannot guarantee that any oil spillages can occur which is another issue causing our water to be unsafe to use for drinking and much more. They can try to improve some of the ways that will help protect the environment but I firmly believe that they will never be able to guarantee the right to clean and safe air and water for citizens.
WHAT TO DO: disagree with this viewpoint and state why The Canadian Constitution should guarantee the right to clean air and water for its citizens.
