Statistics and Probability

For this assignment, you will need to collect data. Please be careful if you want to collect data from humans. Do not ask anything personal, keep it light and fun. If they do not want to participate, don't force them.

Some ideas for data collection include:

• Play a video game you enjoy. Record whether you win or lose rounds or some other metric about your video game.
• Go to the park and collect leaves or sticks to measure.
• Ask your friends their favorite color. (I would recommend giving them a limited list and asking their favorite out of the given options.)
• Record when you wake up or go to bed each night.

You need to collect at least 6 observations.

Answer the following questions about your data:

1. Is your data categorical or quantitative?
2. What level of measurement did you use?
3. Create an appropriate data visualization for your data based on the type of data you collected. You may make this by hand or using a computer program.
4. Use appropriate numerical summaries to describe your data.
5. Interpret your results
